FAQs
What is BetterYet?
BetterYet is a team-based development program built around the 12 Skills to Thrive — a science-backed framework covering resilience, emotional intelligence, a sense of purpose, and other foundational human skills. Delivered through short weekly practices led by internal Champions, it develops people, strengthens teams, and builds the cultural foundation organizations depend on.
How is BetterYet different from a training program?
Most training programs are one-time events. BetterYet is embedded in everyday work and delivered weekly through short microvideos and conversations that build skills gradually, collectively, and in the flow of real teams. Because it’s led by internal Champions and practiced together rather than assigned individually, skills don’t just get learned. They get used.
What are the 12 Skills to Thrive?
The 12 Skills to Thrive are an integrated set of science-backed capabilities organized around how people feel, think, behave, and connect. They include building positivity, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, managing energy, and eight additional skills that together form a complete foundation for thriving at work and beyond.
Who is BetterYet designed for?
BetterYet is designed for mid-to-large organizations that want to develop their people, strengthen team performance, and build a culture that supports their most important initiatives. It works across industries and levels — from individual contributors to senior leaders — and is particularly effective during periods of organizational change, growth, or transition.
How does BetterYet get implemented?
BetterYet is led by internal Champions — team members trained to facilitate weekly practices with minimal prep required. This makes it scalable across an organization without adding significant burden to managers or HR teams. Implementation includes Champion training, a structured program cadence, and ongoing support from Positive Foundry.
How should we select our internal champions?
We help guide you through this as part of our client onboarding process. Typically, a manager or leader is selected to be the BetterYet Champion for their team; however, some organizations opt to select high-potential individual contributors to give them an opportunity to lead the program. Some organizations roll this program out by immediate teams, while others create cross-functional teams to build relationships across departments.
What results do organizations see from BetterYet?
Organizations report measurable outcomes across well-being, team connection, and cultural resilience. In program surveys, more than 85% of BetterYet participants report feeling more connected to their teams, and more than 80% report improvements in personal well-being. Clients also report stronger retention, increased employee engagement, and greater capacity to hold through leadership transitions and organizational change.
How long does BetterYet take?
BetterYet is designed as a sustainable program embedded in the rhythm of everyday work rather than a fixed-length course. Weekly practices are short — typically under 30 minutes — making it easy and approachable for busy teams without disrupting their day-to-day work.
When people thrive, everything follows.
BetterYet is a practical rhythm — not a one-time event. It fits into everyday work, builds skills that actually stick, and strengthens the human foundation that performance depends on. See it in action.
